The new year is upon us and as with every new year, there's going to be a massive influx of resolutions by awe struck newbies to stick with the opportunities they are in, and make it work.
By the end of January or for some even sooner, those lofty dreams will be in tatters. The thought of actually having to put some effort in horrifies them.
I've got to admit, thats exactly the thoughts that went through my mind when network marketing came knocking at my door...
"You mean you have to work at this thing" I remember saying to myself, well thats not for me.
Why is it that we think we can give it a month or two, and when we're not earning retirement money in that time...we say "what a load of rubbish".
I personally trained as an electrician for 4 years before I began to savour the fruits of my endevours.
Doctors, Architechs, Plumbers, Carpenters all go through the rigours of an apprenticeship.
So my newbie friends, just because you know your way around a computer (maybe not in some cases) doesn't mean you can throw away the formula for success, handed down through the ages.
PURPOSE 1st year,
DEDICATION 2nd year,
COMMITMENT 3rd year
CONVICTION 4th year!
If only newbies would understand the concept of this business model ie. stay focused and be coachable...if you stayed 4 years in this business, (obviously with the right opportunity and mentor) you would never have to look for another job for the rest of your life.

Michael - you really tell it like it is with this one! It breaks my heart to see newbies come for a week or 2 and then move on to something else thinking the next program or opportunity is what they need... if only people would make a commitment to stay with the system (with the right program and mentor, of course) for at least 6 months and give themselves time to learn, practice and build they would begin to see the fruits of their labor!
